Seeing things like this make me want to break out into a musical number like Peter does on Family Guy. Nothing more lovely than a huge mountain of instant noodles. I really enjoy seeing such things. Today, I got an extra ingredient for dinner, but I’m also going to toss it in the instant noodles too so we’ll see if it works.
Look at that Indomie mountain just beyond the MAMA noodles! I really enjoy seeing this almost every day! Who would’ve thought I’d end up living next to the best Asian supermarket next to Uwajimaya in Washington state?
Alright alright let’s get down to it. Today is Nissin Demae Ramen Seafood flavor day. Put it on your freaking calendar. I’m running out of varieties of Nissin noodles to hit up at 99 Ranch Market… Pretty stoked; almost all of em have been reviewed.I think after this there’s miso and spicy seafood and original and that’s all.
One single packet in this one.
But it was a very full packet – it was a decent little pile of powdered flavor!
My extra store item was green onions! Here are three of them ready to be processed…
Here’s the daily money shot – steaming noodles in the afternoon sunlight.
Finished (click image to enlarge). As with the Prawn flavor of yesterday, I cooked this stuff a little bit longer as to make the noodles plump a bit more. The onions lent a nice extra freshness to the bowl of noodles, which I am afraid would’ve been rather boring without them. All in all, not the greatest but not too bad; its got potential. Perhaps add some tuna or shrimp? Onions for sure. I’m going to be nice and give this one a 2.5 out of 5 stars. It really wasn’t all that impressively flavored. No sea tangle of seaweed – I think that’d have been a nice touch.. I feel very satisfied with my face.
