So yeah – really. I haven’t reviewed the standard chicken flavor Maruchan seen on every store shelf from here to hell and back. So it’s time. Chicken time!
One packet. A chicken flavor packet.
This is the content of the chicken packet. A decent amount of powder here. Was surprised that the first three ingredients were salt, msg and sugar – it isn’t really a sweet flavoring.
Here she be in all her glory (click to enlarge). The broth is a pleast chicken flavor. It would be perfect if I had a runny nose. Hey I do have a runny nose – and I enjoy the broth. The noodles? Puffy and not of a very high quality. This bowl of noodles isn’t all that great to be honest. Weak noodles and therapeutic broth aren’t really doing it fr me. Then again, it has a chickeny flavor… Even though chicken powder is the next to last ingredient. Very weird. So on this one? 2 out of 5 stars. I think the little slogan on the back touting it as “America’s finest ramen Noodle Soups” is the issue; I like the foreign taste. This is just a little too milquetoast/Campbell’s for me. Get it here.

I find the plain chicken flavor tastes better with as little water as possible. That way the flavor is less diluted.
