So here’s some unique noodles in a cup from the Philippines! Sotanghon chicken – what’s sotanghon? According to Wikipedia…
In Filipino cuisine, the noodles are called sotanghon because of the popular dish of the same name made from them using chicken and wood ears. These noodles are often confused with rice vermicelli, which are called bihon in the Philippines.
So whaddaya know…
So here are the noodles sitting in the cup awaiting liquids and seasoning. They’re already sitting with some green onion or chives it appears.
Powder seasoning and flavored oil.
Here’s the finished product (click image to enlarge). The noodles are clear and not to my liking. Kinda mucky I think. The broth is extremely salty. I don’t especially like it… I’m going to give it 2.0 out of 5.0 stars.
