At long last! Yesterday we found the elusive Nongshim Spicy Seafood Bowl Noodle Soup!!! Very awesome! There’s a review of the place we found it at under the Where to Get It tab up top – check out HT Oaktree Market! Now check out this review of Nongshim Spicy Seafood Bowl Noodle!
A single solitary flavor packet as always.
A mountain of bright reddish powder.
So I added 2 eggs as usual. Wow – so so good! Appropriate quality noodles, spicy broth and some interesting added things like naruto and corn. I had it alongside a couple sliced of seafood pancake which was a leftover from Kaya Korean BBQ (www.kayaseattle.com). Everything went together very nicely. 4.25 out of 5.0 stars! Get it here.
I’m utterly confused and have had several conversations regarding Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup (my favorite happens to be the Hot & Spicy!). Is this a Chinese, Japanese, Korean style soup? Nobody agrees! Thank you!
Okay, so Bowl Noodle Hot & Spicy is… South Korean style. If you look and see the ingredients, red chilli and beef screams Korean whereas Japanese would possibly lean towards a more savory chicken flavor. Now, Bowl Noodle is only made in the United States, at least the Nongshim brand stuff. It’s made in California, so since it’s made for the US market, it’s technically American style.

[…] Good noodles, nice depth and spiciness to the broth and a bit of flair with the veggies – some corn and some naruto in there! Excellent with a couple of fried eggs – and leftover seafood pancake from a local Korean BBQ! Full review here. […]
