Welcome to Show Your Noodles – Week 9! This week, we have a whopping FOUR SUBMISSIONS!!! If you want to let the world see your noodles, send me an email at hans@theramenrater.com – include your name and location and you noodle pictures! Without any further adieu, here are this weeks entries as judged by my wife, Kit!
In 4th place, we have this one by Ben from Bandung, Indonesia!
“I’ve tried many instant ramen/noodles (Korean, Singaporean, Japanese, as well as Indonesian) but nothing can beat this: Indomie Empal Gentong with egg, chopped beef, onions, and served with cheese crackers. Just had it for dinner. :)”
In 3rd place is Min Min T. from Malaysia!
“I ate this fish pastes vermicelli soup last Sunday at a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Wonderful soup base! 🙂
You can also add condensed milk (I didn’t because I’m allergic to milk) to make the soup creamier.
This is a popular Chinese dish in Malaysia.”
In 2nd place is Stephanie K. from Santa Cruz, California!
“First picture is Indomie Mi Goreng Pedas with a rotisserie chicken drumstick, carrots, peas, corn, string beans, red and green peppers and an egg.
Second picture is Doll Spicy Beef flavor with slices of roast beef, corn, and an egg.”
Finally, in 1st place for this week, Cindy C. from London, UK!
So I made this using Bachelors Super Noodles Bacon flavour. I cooked it as per instructions but added more water as I like it saucy. Added the following to pimp it up
- Romaine Lettuce
- Smoked Back Bacon
- Spring Onions
- Fried onion
- 1 tb of mayonnaise
- 5 mini chicken kievs from Iceland
- Salt, pepper and dashes of tasbasco
The mayonnaise was stirred in to the sauce after the noodles are done which makes it creamy. Together with the bacon, the noodles tasted like spaghetti carbonara. Lettuce, spring onions and fried onions gave it some crunch.
The mini chicken kievs are from a chain store call Iceland which stocks mostly frozen home brand food products. http://www.iceland.co.uk/. The Bachelor Super Noodles were going for 5 packs for £2 which I thought was quite a bargain.
So for a last minute dinner, I think my concoction hit the spot. Give it a try!
Awesome! Thanks to all of you for your wonderful submissions! I really hope you feel like sending more in the future! This has been the most submissions in one week – hoping to get more next week!
