My sister was up in Canada at a big grocery store and found this for me! Shin Ramyun Shrimp Flavor! Never heard or seen it before – what a score! Let’s see how it goes with this one!
Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge). This isn’t made in Korea or in the United States – it’s from China and distributed in Hong Kong…
I always like round noodle blocks – don’t ask me why but I love that they fit so snugly in my noodle pot.
Here’s the powdered seasoning packet.
…and the powdered seasoning!
The vegetables packet.
…and its contents.
Finished (click image to enlarge). I added one egg during cooking, a handful of shrimp and a few dashes of Texas Pete Garlic Hot Sauce. The noodles are awesome – chewy and wide and really slurped up the seasoning. The broth is nice – has a good shrimp flavor and a nice spiciness to it. I liked this a lot – 4.5 out of 5.0 stars! Shin Ramyun commercial
Peacock Mantis Shrimp! Whoa!
For me, this was the worst ramyun I have ever tasted my whole life; with all those stereotypes and expectations I have with Shin Ramyun, this was more of Kalguksu than Ramyun. So I always make sure I get the classic good ol’ Shin Ramyun.
Oh, and is your wife okay?
Really? Wow I liked it! Yes she is fine thanks for asking 🙂
