Here’s the last of the Golden Mie varieties sent to me by Carter B. from his travels in Mali. These noodles actually are from Dubai! Awesome!
Back of the packaging (click image to enlarge).
This one got a little munched during the travel from Dubai to Mali to the USA – here’s one of the larger pieces.
A dual packet with chili powder on the left and seasoning powder on the right.
Here’s the seasoning powder with the chili powder on top.
Here’s the man himself. Little does he know but that’s Indomie Sop Buntut (Oxtail soup) – wasn’t too excited to find that out har har! Poor kid – finds that out after trying kimchi for the first time this morning… Andy’s got his own blog over at Andy’s LEGO Stuff (www.andyslegostuff.com)! He was recently contacted by Papercutz.com, publishers of the LEGO Ninjago graphics novels – they’re sending him some to review! Way to go, Andy!
Finished (click image to enlarge). Added some kizami shoga (pickled ginger) and some Blue Diamond Sea Salt almonds. The noodles were kind of crumbly but not too bad. The broth was great – best vegetable flavored broth I’ve ever had. Awesome! 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.UPC bar code 6290490011318 .
A noodle restaurant in Dubai.
This is a trip!
Glad you liked them, I wish it would have gotten there In once piece though… (that one got the grunt of the damage due to ill placement in the luggage… Ran out of room so it rode next to some hard objects…) I have another here in my house that is weird (picked it up at a local store) not sure if you have had it or not (will eventually look) but it is a liquid based pack (if you touch it, it feels like a bag of thick soup…) but I think it is soy noodles and veggies? Not too sure… Barely looked at it before I bought the last 3.
