Here’s another one found in Canada on my birthday trip there. I’ve had Sichuan flavors before and not a big fan, but I’ve been pretty happy with Wei Lih’s products in the past – looks interesting! Let’s check it out.
Export sticker (click image to enlarge). Doesn’t appear to contain meat of any kind.
Side panels of the bowl (click image to enlarge).
The noodle block.
Here’s the powder packet.
Interesting – not sure of what the slid bits are.
Paste packet.
A thick paste with an interesting smell. Kind of spicy.
Veggie packet.
Some little bits going on…
Finished (click image to enlarge). Added rib eye beef sauteed with red bell pepper and garlic and some broccoli. The noodles are pretty good – decent for a bowl instant with a nice texture. The broth is deep and rich, both in color and flavor. It has a slightly sweet, spicy hot and oily flavor. The veggies aren’t bad. I like this – 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 4710199025413.
