Here’s the first review of the Asian Thai Foods Meet The Manufacturer spotlight! Wow – noodles from Nepal! Let’s have a look at these, called Gaurav. I couldn’t figure out what Gaurav means – if anyone knows, please comment! UPDATE – Thanks for KC Gabby for letting me know that gaurav means pride! Let’s check it out!
Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge). I tried to translate the Nepali and came up with 240ml water for 2 minutes. Contains chicken.
The noodle block. The noodles are pre-seasoned.
Dry ingredient packets: soup base on the left, chili powder on the right.
Here’s the chili powder atop the soup base powder.
Onion oil packet.
Has a very nice onion scent.
Finished (click image to enlarge). Added hard boiled egg, Walla Walla sweet onion and baked chicken with Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning. The noodles are very good – they have an agreeable crumble to them and a nice texture. The broth is quite good as well – a little bit of spiciness and the nice onion oil flavor compliments a chicken flavor that is unique and tasty. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 9504000021214.
