Here’s another one sent by a kind reader in Sweden! Thank you! Master Kong is really popular in China and what surprises me is that there are no places that I’ve seen that you can get their products here in the United States. Luckily, people send them to me from time to time, but it seems to me that I really need to figure out a way to contact them and do a Meet The Manufacturer with them. The Chinese consume billions of packages of instant noodles a year and I’ve never done a Chinese Meet The Manufacturer yet! It’s about time. Well, let’s check out these seafood flavor Master Kong instant noodles!
The distributor/import sticker (click image to enlarge).
Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge). Not sure whether this product contains seafood or not. To prepare, add noodle block to 700ml boiling water with contents of dry sachets and cook for 2 minutes. Add contents of liquid sachet and cook an additional 4 minutes. Stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
The soup base powder sachet.
Very light powder with a seafood scent.
A liquid paste sachet.
Has a peanut scent.
The solid ingredients sachet.
Veggies and fish cake!
Finished (click image to enlarge). Added sliced squid, kamaboko, fish ball, shrimp and crab stick. The noodles came out nice and thick with a light chewiness I liked. The broth was very warm with just a tinge of spiciness and great seafood flavor. Finally, the little bits of fish cake hydrated very nicely and the seaweed that wad easily found was a very nice addition. 4.25 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 6900873028856.
The packaging here looks a little different so I’m not sure it’s exactly the same, but I’m sure it’s quite similar. You can get it here!
A very happy TV advertisement about Master Kong seafood noodles.
