Here’s a new one that just was released! These varieties by Mom’s Dry Noodle have been pretty impressive. This one’s spicy and sour – sounds quite interesting. I’ve tried such flavors from Malaysia before – kind of a description of Laksa, but being from Taiwan I think this is going to be a lot different. Like curry, spicy and sour flavors are different whever you go. Let’s check out this new one from Mom’s Dry Noodle!
Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add noodles to boiling water and cook for 4 minutes. Drain and add in contents of sachets and stir well. Enjoy!
In the big bag, you get 4 smaller bags like this.
The noodle block.
A bright colored oil sachet.
Vibrant color and spicy scent.
A dark liquid sachet.
A kind of soy scent.
The third sachet.
Black vinegar.
Finished (click image to enlarge). Added broccoli and beef I sauteed. The noodles are really primo – excellent gauge and chewiness. They’re thick and have a restaurant quality to them. The flavor is really great. It goes from an initial hit from the black vinegar’s sourness, then mulls around with the heat and almost transforms into a sweetness at a point. It’s a very active flavor that kept my tastebuds fascinated the whole time. Excellent! 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 4717011150117.
