Another one my lovely wife found for me at BigLOTS. This one’s made in Thailand for the US market it seems. Spring onion is an interesting thing; it’s also known as green onion and also as scallions. Another one like that is coriander, which in the USA is known as cilantro – at least uin it’s fresh form. In a seasoning jar, it’s known here as coriander. Weird. anyways, let’s check out this bowl!
Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add on sachet contents to the bowl. Fill to first line with boiling water and cover for 3 minutes. Stir and enjoy!
Upon removing the cardboard outer wrap, you’re greeted by a plastic bowl with a paper lid.
The rice noodles in the bowl.
The soup base sachet.
Has a sweet garlic kind of scent.
An oil sachet.
Rice bran oil and shallots flavor this thin oil.
The vegetables sachet.
Spring onion flakes.
Finished (click image to enlarge). Added Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts and coriander. The rice noodles did quite well in the microwave – well hydrated. They are of varying length and widty, and easily navigable with a fork. The broth is more sweet than anything and the rice bran oil aspect of the seasoning oil stands out. Very light and sweet. 2.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8850578954029.
