Sweet! An Indonesian variety I’ve not tried! I wish there were more that I could get around here. I rarely get any from Indonesia – one reader sent a couple of packages a while back full of all sorts of wonderful varieties – maybe someone will again? I hope so! Let’s check out this one from Mie Sedaap.
Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle in 400ml water for 3 minutes. Add seasonings to a bowl while bolling. Add noodles and water to bowl and combine. Enjoy!
The noodle block.
A dual sachet of dry seasonings.
Chilli powder atop soup base powder.
A seasoned oil sachet.
Has a beef scent.
The solid ingredients sachet.
Little imitation beef ball and vegetables.
Finished. Added Great Wall beef balls, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, white onion and coriander. The noodles are standard instant gauge and chew – good stuff. The broth has a very strong stewed beef kind of flavor to it which also had a nice oiliness. The vegetables hydrated well. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8998866200929.
