I did a bit of research on Wikipedia about char mee. It was a little vague but I am hoping what I gleaned was right. So, this is like Hokkien mee without broth. Let’s see what this is all about.
Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Contains fish and crustacean. To prepare, cook noodles in 450ml boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Drain. Add in sachet contents. Stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
The soup base sachet.
Has a sweet prawn scent.
An oil sachet.
Has a spicy scent.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added pork, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, shrimp, carved squid and coriander. The noodles are the standard Myojo fare – nice chew and round gauge. The flavor was slightly spicy and salty; kind of like a light mee goreng. 3.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8888107000121.
