Here’s another one from Javier over at www.BoxFromJapan.com, a subscription service. You can get a box of different Japanese instant noodles (or candy!) from Japan every month! Of all the subscription services for instant noodles I’ve seen thus far, this is the best. Today’s ramen looks really neat – here’s what Javier had to say about it:
Soup: The fragrance of the vegetables and condiments add to the flavors of the pork and chicken making a deep-flavored soup. The rich aroma of the pot herbs give the soup a taste that makes you want to drink it all up. Noodles: Medium-fine un-fried straight noodles that are almost as if they are raw. Ingredients: Cabbage, bok-choy, corn, carrot, and sesame seeds. The sesame seeds lend an ample aroma.
Let’s check it out!

Lots of interesting bits in here.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added Salad Cosmo muing bean sprouts, hard boiled egg, chashu pork and baked chicken. The noodles are very, very good – a really nice thinnish gauge with a strong backbone and just the nicest little bit of crumble to them – almost dainty. the broth is thick and rich shio with a lot of pork and chicken flavor throughout. The included cabbage, sesame seeds and other veggies are just perfect. This is a real wow. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4902105041840.
