Check this one out – HABANERO! This is another one that comes with a sachet of hot sauce! Awesome! Mariscos means seafood – something I’ve always dreamed of doing is visiting the coastal areas of Mexico and trying the seafood dishes there! Let’s give this one a try!
Nissin Cup Noodles Sopa Nissin Sabor Mariscos, Habanero Y Limon – Mexico
Detail of the cardboard outer (click to enlarge). Contains crustaceans. To prepare, add boiling water to fill line and cover for 3 minutes. Add contents of hot sauce sachet. Stir and enjoy!
The iconic foam cup – en Espanol!
Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).
The noodle block.
Some bits from the inside of the cup.
The spicy sauce sachet (click to enlarge). Looks like this is made by El Yucateco. I’ve had their hot sauces before and man, are they hot!
Spicy stuff!
Finished (click to enlarge). Added shrimp, cilantro and two types of fishcake. The noodles hydrated nicely and had a nice light chew to them. The broth was good before the hot sauce was added – a kind of sweet and tangy seafood hit to it. Once the included habanero hot sauce was in play though it definitely upped it a notch, giving some great heat. The veggies hydrated well. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 070662141281.
Usually when doing a new Meet The Manufacturer from a country I’ve never done one from, I end up thinking ‘what’s their street food like?’ Well, check it out – this looks like seriously good stuff!
Yes, the seafood in coastal Mexico is fantastic. I’ve travelled up and down the Pacific coast of Mexico several times, and some of the best seafood I’ve had has been from tiny little shacks on the beach near fishing villages!
