Well, hello there! You know, if I’m not mistaken, we’ve met here before. Oh yeah – multiple times on the top ten list back in it’s infancy! To be honest, this has been one I’ve loved for ages – perhaps decades. Boy, that makes me feel old… I think I should just let this variety speak for itself – let’s have a look at the contents and give it a try!
Sapporo Ichiban Chow Mein – United States
Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil 225ml water in a frying pan or skillet. Add in noodle block for cook 1 minute. Flip over and cook an additional minute. Once water has been absorbed, add in sachet contents and stir. Finally, plate and add garnish sachet content and enjoy!
The noodle block.
The seasoning sachet/.
A light brown powder.
The green laver sachet!
A crushed seaweed.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added thin sliced Angus roast beef, spring onion, Salad Cosmo organic mung bean sprouts and a little Kewpie mayonnaise. Noodles are great – they suck up all the liquid while cooking and then allow the seasoning to hop on board for the ride. The included green laver sachet just hit it. I love this stuff and always will. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 07618600189.
