A big thanks to Daniel down in Brazil for sending this along! It’s been really hard to find varieties from South America over the years. So Daniel told me to be wary of the labelling that this is HOT as Brazilians don’t tend to eat a lot of spicy foods. This kind of surprised me; I would have thought they would have. Learn something new every day! Let’s take a look at this Mexican themed variety from Brazil.
Nissin Miojo Nissin Lamen Hot Sabor Mexicano – Brazil
Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Looks like it may contain crustaceans but check for yourself. To prepare, add noodle block to 450ml boiling water and cook for 3 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
The soup base sachet.
A light powder.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added fried egg, cilantro, jalapeno rings, cheese and hot sauce. The noodles had a wider gauge than I expected and went very well with the broth. The broth was lightly spicy, but nice and flavorful – reminiscent of beef and lingua. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 7891079011478.
