After searching during four – count them FOUR – trips to Canada looking or them, I finally found them with the help of a reader/viewer from YouTube – THANK YOU! So you may know these as dumplings, gyoza, or potstickers – thy’re all the same thing. Just call them dumplings, please.
Now, are these noodles? No. However they’re flavored like the popular Buldak Bokkeummyun fire noodle. So they should be reviewed. Let’s check them out!
Samyang Foods Buldak Bokkeummyun Hot Chicken Flavor Gyoza Dumpling – South Korea
Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Looks to be mat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil for 5~6 minutes. You can fry or steam as well. Finally, put in mouth and enjoy!
Here’s how they look frozen.
Finished (click to enlarge). Cooked with a package of Samyang Foods Stew Type Buldak Bokkeummyun and added spring onion and Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts. Dumplings came out nicely after six minutes of cooking. They are very much of the same flavor of the original buldak bokkeummyun fire noodle. In fact, the flavor was spicy to the point of clearly eclipsing the flavor of the Stew Type flavor. Nice texture and ingredients – worked well. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8804127010667.
Watch me cook this up on the 100th episode of Instant Noodle Recipe Time!
