Here’s one of the many varieties I still have from Rooster, a range made in China for Canada’s Loblaw’s company. Loblaw’s owns The Real Canadian SuperStore, and that’s where I found these. Just think of Walmart, but slightly different and Canadian owned – not American. Let’s check this one out – the others in this range have been surprisingly good despite the very plain look to them.
Rooster Chili Chicken Flavour Noodle Soup – Canada
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add sachet contents and 350ml boiling water. Cover for 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.
A dry base sachet.
A flecked powder.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, baked chicken with NuTek Salt For Life, coriander and fried onion. Noodles were soft and definitely done well after a 3 minute sit in the boiling water. They have a kind of flatness to them and work well with the broth. Flavor of the broth is a kind of chicken and cumin with a tinge of spiciness and a tastiness I quite enjoyed. Bits of corn here and there. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 061483036627.
