Here’s a new one from Sapporo Ichiban – a collaboration with Momosan Ramen & Sake restaurant, a venture by ‘Iron Chef’ Masaharu Morimoto. Curious if this is going to be good, but guessing it will be; Sanyo Foods doesn’t come out with a new variety too extremely often here in the United States. Let’s give it a try!
Sapporo Ichiban Momosan Ramen Tonkotsu – United States
Detail of the pack (click to enlarge). Contains fish. To prepare, add noodles to 450ml boiling water and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add sachet contents to a bowl. Add noodles and liquid to bowl and stir. Finally, enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added soft egg, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, black sesame seeds, chashu, spring onion, and habanero togarashi. Noodles have a great chew and shape. The noodles are not fried which is a departure from the norm for this company and work well. Broth is nice and hearty with a good thickness and rich flavor of shio tonkotsu.
