So I have this neat little formula; go to Canada, hit a store or two, bring back noodles. Usually bring back peanut butter and maybe oatmeal is involved, but that’s a different formula. These came from Foodyworld up in Richmond, BC. If you can go there, just go that – you’ll be glad you did! Anyways, these look like they’ll be some spicy ones – let’s take a look!
Shun Savory Dried Chongqing Noodles – China
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodles in 1000ml water for 2~3 minutes. Add noodles and sachet contents to 300ml hot water. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Two servings of everything in this one.
A liquid sachet.
A dry sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added chashu, soft egg, black sesame seed, spring onion, and Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts. Noodles are soft and light – very nice here. The broth has a strong hit of Sichuan pepper and the broth has an acrid bump – and it works. Bright flavor buzzes along well. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 6971913320032.
