I reviewed the counterpart to this one recently – that one being with ‘a spicy kick.’ This one doesn’t kick anything, but it’s tonkotsu so I’m guessing it softly massages you. Let’s give it a try.
Higashimaru Kagoshima Tonkotsu Ramen – Japan
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodles in 400ml water for 2 1/2 ~ 3 1/2 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added barbecue pork, spring onionm egg, kizami shoga, chili crisp with belacan, black sesame seed, and shichimi. Noodles were good – chewier than your average instant and engoreged well. The broth is a non thick tonkotsu, however it imparts a good creamy pork love in it’s way. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars.
