As I ready this, the first post of the week, I’m a little worried. You see, I don’t have any ground pork. I hope they have some at the store tomorrow morning. I’m kind of unsure what kind of garnish to do on this one other than that. Hmmm… I don’t think eggs really are suitable… I’ll have to figure this one out! Let’s begin.
Vi Huong Instant Noodles Artificial Pork Flavor – Vietnam
A distributor’s sticker (click to enlarge).
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add everything to a bowl then add 350ml boiling water and cover 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A dry soup base sachet.
A wet sachet of seasoned oil.
A dry sachet of chili powder.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added Chabe sambal, egg, spring onion, Thai basil, coriander, sauteed ground pork with Himalayan salt and garlic powder, and sesame seed. Noodles were pretty good – springy like they had tapioca flour in there somewhere. The broth has a good flavor, however I have a tough time pinning it to a more regular dish. Don’t get me wrong – I liked it, but I want to visit Vietnam and try it. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8934663107498.
