Recently, I finished a Meet The Manufacturer series with Sau Tao. They shipped a whole pallet of samples of a myriad of different styles and varieties. A PALLET! Well, the upshot is that I still have so many different styles and varieties to review! Here is one of them.
Sau Tao’s Tom Yum Kung flavors have really captivated me – they’re really great. What’s neat is that they pair them with so many different styles of noodle. This one’s packing a think, non-fried noodle. Let’s give it a try.
Sau Tao Tom Yum Kung Flavour Non-Fried Noodle – Hong Kong
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains fish and crustaceans. To prepare, boil noodles in 500ml water for 3 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A dry base sachet.
A wet sachet of sauce.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added basil, Dodo fish ball, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, and chilli flake. The noodles are really great – very thin and soft with a nice little bite to them which makes them fun to eat. The broth is yet again the masterful tom yum kung I love so much with a nice homage to the tomato, along with lemongrass and spiciness and a strong shrimp taste. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars.
