This one appears to be with wakame, a sea vegetable as well as sesame, but unsure if it’ll be more of a flavor or what’s going on. Let’s check it out!
Itsuki Sesame Wakame Udon – Japan
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Unsure if it contains meat – check for yourself. To prepare, add boiling water to line and cover for 1 minute. Drain. Add sachet contents, water to line again, stir, and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added flower fu, kamaboko,kizami shoga, kizami nori, tempura with squid, and shichimi. Udon was about as expected – thick and chewy. Itsuki’s gauge is slightly different but still very similar to the norl. The broth was full of sesame seeds and wakane, Kind of a salty broth with seaweed notes. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars.
