Today, we have the first of four varieties from Myojo USA, a shio tonkotsu. That pic on the from of the pack says it all – this should be a milky and savory pork bone broth with really good noodles. Let’s check it out!
Myojo Ramen Shio Tonkotsu – United States
Detail of the package (click to enlarge). Contains pork. To prepare, boil 4 cups water in a pot and 1 1/4 cups water in a different pot. Cook noodles for 2-2 1/4 minutes. During this, add one sachet of soup base to the 1 1/4 cups water, combine, and add to a serving bowl. Drain noodles, and add to bowl and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added chashu, narutomaki, egg, shichimi, sesame seed, spring onion, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, and chilli oil. The noodles are great – fresh and a gret chewiness. The broth has all the hallmarks of tonkotsu – milky, salty and rich pork broth flavor. A true delight. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 011152200231.
