Pork bone soup is a particular favorite of mine – whether it be creamy tonkotsu or something more like this, I’m usually quite partial to these styled varieties. Let’s see what this one from China holds in store.
Baixiang Artificial Pork Bone Soup Flavor Instant Noodle – China
Detail of the package (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add noodles and vegetables sachet to 600ml boiling water and cook 4 minutes. Add in wet sachet and boil and additional 2 minutes . Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added chashu, sesame seed, Sichuan pepper flake, Lao Gan Ma Spicy Chilli Crisp, white onion, and scallions. The noodles are really a trip – they have a strong springiness to them – even after 6 minutes on the boil. The broth has a nice depth and richness to it. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.
