This one is from A-Sha and it’s going to be available at Costco for a limited period just in time for Chinese New Year! Like is says on the box, there’s aren’t any sachets in here; it’s literally just blocks of noodles in individual packages. I’ve got an idea for something to do with these, and I thought I’d get this review out in a timely fashio. So let’s check ’em out and give ’em a try!
A-Sha Dan Dan Noodle – Taiwan
Info from the box (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodles for 2 minutes. Drain. Add sauce of your choice or broth. Finally, stir and enjoy!
One of the twenty single packs in the box.
Detail of the noodles themselves.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added Lao Gan Ma Spicy Chili Crisp, soy sauce, Skippy Superchunk peanut butter, fried egg, chashu pork, spring onion, shichimi, and sesame seed. Since this one is only a noodle, I can’t really review it like everything else. However, I can say the noodle itself worked excellent with what I added. The gauge was really great and the chewiness was perfect and on point. I’m definitely keen on trying this with a broth sometime soon – I think it will do very well with that as well. If you like to make your own seasoning combos and/or broths, this box is a great thing! It’s good stuff – 5.0 out of 5.0 stars for a noodle. UPC bar code 193937000226.
