What’s neat about this one is that it allows a little investigation of my new fascination – sardines. On a previous Instant Noodle Recipe Time episode, I tried sardines with ramen for the first time at the recommendation of a YouTube reader. Well, this variety has sardine, so I figure more won’t hurt. Let’s give it a try!
Myojo Kakitama Udon – Japan
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains fish. To prepare, add in sachet contents and boiling water to fill line. Cover for 5 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.
A dry soup base sachet.
Looks like fried tofu in there.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added brisling sardines, pepper flake, narrutomaki, spring onion, and sesame seed. Noodles were expected – thick and kind of over soft for my taste. The broth has a little bit of sweetness to it and a kind of fish and salt taste. Tofu was very nice. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4902881433402.
