What a week – just so busy lately! My daughter just started preschool and so another part of the day is taken up by Zoom meetings – not a bad thing and really neat to see her start school! Yet it is a difficult transition for me; I’ve had everything so timed and set up for reviewing that change is difficult – but not impossible. Adjusting had been hard but it’s going well.
It’s also tough be cause of nature. Rain. Rain and wind. Rain, wind, and the changing season – sunshine giving way to rain here in the Seattle area and also the days are already getting shorter and autumn has just begun.
I spend a lot of time walking every day and watching the seasons change which is really something I’ve enjoyed very much.
Which brings us to today and a new review. This one’s from Taiwan and was shipped with 30kg of dry ice. When it arrived, there was maybe half a kilogram of dry ice – but everything was still frozen solid. Let’s give it a try!
PLN Food Co. Ltd. Sesame Paste Noodle – Taiwan
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil one sachet for 1 minutes. Boil a noodle block for about a minute, separating the noodles. Drain noodles and add sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Frozen fresh noodle blocks.
Frozen sauce sachets.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added marinated egg, sesame seed, chili flake, spring onion, and sliced chashu pork. Noodles are as usual very, very good – excellent fresh, chewy stuff I thoroughly enjoy chewing. The sesame paste sauce was interesting because usually I’ve found these to be salty – this one was lighter in saltiness and has a richness to it which was very welcome. An ample amount of the sauce coats everything evenly. Another exemplary refrigerated section variety to be sure. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars.
