Something new from Taiwan just hit my mailbox recently – this is a dan dan variety from Mom’s Dry Noodle (their dan dan noodles have been on my top ten global list for a few years now). This one’s different though – lots of spicy oil and it’s Vegetarian friendly. Let’s crack it open and see what’s going on in here!

One of three servings.
A serving of noodles.
A dry seasoning sachet.
A wet sachet of sesame paste.
A wet sachet of soy sauce.
Two wet sachets of spicy oil.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added baked chicken, marinated egg, coriander, spring onion, pepper flake, sesame seed, and mung bean sprouts. The noodles are great – nice chewiness and gauge. The flavor? Soy sauce, sesame paste, and Sichuan pepper infused oil lingers and trades off throughout – and it’s good. Real good. Was hard to put this plate of noodles down. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars.
