Alrighty so here’s another frozen one sent by the folks at PLN Food Co. Ltd. in Taiwan – thank you! This sounds to be akin to a hiyashi udon – I guess we shall see! Let’s cook it up!
PLN Food Co. Ltd. Cold Udon Noodle – Taiwan
he back of the package (click to enlarge). Unsure if it contains meat; check for yourself. To prepare, put a piece of noodle into boiling water, and stir gently until noodle gets apart. (About 30 seconds.)Put the noodle into iced water for about 10 seconds. Pour about 100ml of water and mix with the sauce. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Two servings of udon.
A pair of sauce sachets.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, sesame seed, spring onion, and pepper flake. The udon is nice and chewy – great gauge. The sauce seemed a little on the lighter side; I think I would’ve liked it a little stronger. Nonetheless it was good. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 4712366991088.
