Thanks to Cian (pronounced kee-yan – like Ian with a K) from Ireland! Thanks so much! These are very interesting in that the sachet kind of gives away the original manufacturer. The motif on the sachet is the same as those found at Real Canadian Superstore up in BC – and these come from a grocery store chain in Ireland, so either they’re related or just using the same private label company. The ones in Canada were labeled Rooster brand. They were good, so I’m hoping these will be as well. Let’s find out!
Newgate Express Instant Noodles Beef Flavour – Ireland
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, (and this is kind of confusing) add sachet contents to 300ml boiling water and then add in noodles. Gently cook for 3 minutes and DO NOT ALLOW TO BOIL (?) Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
The soup base seasoning sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, London Broil lunchmeat, spring onion, shichimi togarashi, and sesame seed. Noodles were of a nice thin gauge and had a good chew. The enjoyment ended there as the broth was skint of flavor and just didn’t satisfy the feel or flavor of beef. 1.75 out of 5.0 stars.
