These varieties from Menraku tend to be pretty decent! Spicy miso tonkotsu sounds nice – should be rich and creamy with a little zing! I suppose we shall see. So let’s.
Menraku Japanese Ramen “Spicy Miso Tonkotsu” – United States
Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, fill to line with boiling water and contents of the dry sachet. Cover for 3 minutes. Add in the wet sachet. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added chashu, marinated egg, narutomaki, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, black sesame seed, spring onion, and pepper flake. The noodles just didn’t come out at all enjoyable on this one – very spongy and strange. Broth was alright – a light spiciness and semi-decent miso tonkotsu bump to it. 2.0 out of 5.0 stars.
