These come by way of Yukhong at Golden Bay Supply – thanks! Hey sent me some neat Thai products to try recently to try out and so here we are. Very curious about this one and the noodle block looks different than most rice noodles. Let’s check it out!
Pad Thai is a really popular dish at Thai restaurants in the United States. The exact translation is ”Thai noodles,’ however there are many Thai noodle dishes. What people generally think of is a flavorful and sauce noodle dish. Let’s check this one out!
Sutharos Organic Pad Thai – Thailand
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Says it is Vegetarian friendly but check for yourself. To prepare, soak noodles for 5 minutes in hot water and set aside. Heat a skillet and add 20g oil and garlic sachet. Add eggs (doesn’t say how many so guessing two) and stir until almost done. Add in 200g meat/seafood/tofu and noodles – cook 2 minutes. Prepare pad Thai sauce and herbs and add to sauce. Finally, stir and enjoy with pepper and peanut on top. Enjoy!
The rice noodle.
A large sachet of sauce.
A sachet of herbs.
A sachet of dry garlic.
A sachet of peanut.
A sachet of crushed pepper.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added Thai basil, stir fry beef, coriander, and a little black sesame seed. Rice noodles worked well. The flavor was a little different than I expected – and it was excellent. The sauce has a black vinegar component (at least that what I think it was) and it was really nice and tangy. The other varieties of this Vegetarian range didn’t have fish sauce and needed a little bump to get going, but this one didn’t need that. Super tasty! 5.0 out o 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 840087800236.
