I rarely find anything to get at Uwajimaya these days – not because they don’t have a decent variety, but because I’ve tried them all. This was a nice one to find though – kind of pricy at that though. Curious… Let’s check it out!
Fujiwara Kani Nochikara Miso Ramen – Japan
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodles in 550ml water for 3 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
An individually packaged noodle block.
A dry base sachet.
A wet sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added kamaboko, chashu, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, spring onion, sesame seed, and shichimi. In this one, I wasn’t a fan of the noodle. They’re chewy but brittle/crumbly at the same time. They were a little better than other Fujiwara varieties I’ve had in the past, but I’m guessing that’s due to the broth. The broth had a red miso taste augmented with a kind of beefy hit to it – more like a vegetable broth back to it. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4976651085870.
