Here’s another one I got at Family Asian Market on Aurora. A gift box type of thing – maybe from Lunar New Year? Not sure, but looks interesting. I’m in the mood for interesting – let’s check it out!
Kou Da Xiang Hot & Spicy Mixed Instant Noodle – Shrimp Flavor – China
A distributor/import label (click to enlarge).
Detail of the back of the package (click to enlarge).
Under the lid (click to enlarge). Contains shrimp. To prepare, boil noodles for 4~5 minutes. Warm up retort pouch in there for a few as well. Drain. Add in small sachet and stir. Top with retort pouch contents and enjoy!
A package of straight noodles.
A wet sachet of sauce.
A large retort pouch of garnish.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added spring onion and black sesame seed. Noodle had a nice gauge and a good light chew to it. The sauce gave the noodles an oiliness that worked and a light shrimp taste. The etort pouch has a bounty of unpeeled shrimp which I was surprised by. The meat in them was succulent and incredibly tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed it – except for the shells. Little pieces of pepper all around. Heat level wasn’t to crazy. A very savory dish. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 6971452850489.
