Here’s one we found at a fancy market on Highway 99 south of Shoreline. This one sounds pretty good – I suppose we shall see. Let’s check it out!
Baijia Chengdu Sweet Noodle – China
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Unsure whether it has meat – check for yourself. To prepare, it appears you boil the noodles 2~3 minutes, drain, then add everything in. Finally, stir and enjoy!
A pouch of fresh noodles.
A liquid base sachet.
A pickled vegetables sachet.
A little bag of peanuts.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added sesame seed, spring onion, and coriander. The noodles are thick and girthy much like fresh udon. The sauce is interesting – while sweet, it’s pretty spicy – it means business. I think those who prefer spicy Korean sauce noodles will definitely like this stuff. Included pickled vegetables really added something enjoyable as well. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 6926410322584.
