I got an email last week about this stuff – saying it was the most popular on a Malaysian shopping site. I got a package a few short days later, which was yesterday. So, here I am trying it immediately. I’m stoked; I used to get Malaysian varieties all the time in the mail and it’s not as common anymore – let’s check it out!
Meet Mee Malaysia Chili Pan Mee – Malaysia
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to b meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodles 6 minutes and drain. Add everything in and stir. During this, take a room temperature egg and put in a cup with boiling water for 7 minutes. Crack over noodles. Finally, enjoy!

A dark liquid sachet.
Interesting – tofu puff? Curious…
A lot of chili!
Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg and sesame seed. This one was interesting. The noodle was quite good – nice chew and unique gauge. Dried fish gave a cruch. The flavor was a sweet and spicy one – not exactly like mi goreng; not really much like that at all – kind of hard to explain. Quite good though. Very compelling. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars.
