Here’s one I found at the local grocery store. The shoyu I tried previously wasn’t bad, so hopefully the miso will be good and not a boatload of red miso. Warning – there will be corn in this. If you’re not afraid of corn, smooth seas ahead. But if corn freaks out your tender sensibilities, turn back!
Enough of the silliness – onward towards glory!
Muso Organic Ramen Miso – United States
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Says it’s Vegan friendly but check for yourself. To prepare, add noodle block to 500ml boiling water and cook 4 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A single wet sachet of soup base.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added chashu, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, spring onion, butter, Devil’s Teeth (corn), and sesame seed. Noodles have a strong chew which was pretty darrn good. Broth had a very good oiliness and a rich red miso broth. I normally can’t stand how red miso is used in varieties specific to the US market, however this one was very robust and savory – good show! 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 845172000591.
