Another one of the fresh varieties sent directly by Myojo USA – thank you very much! I was curious about what I saw on the package insofar as how to garnish it. Looks to be pork belly and rice cake from what I’m reading – the fish cake is fried. Hmmm… I do have some kamaboko I could fry. Yeah – I’ll try that. Let’s check this one out!
Myojo Okinawa Soba Light Bonito Flavor – United States
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains bonito and anchovy. To prepare, boil noodles for 3 1/4~3 1/2 minutes. Drain, adding sachet to 1 1/2 cups boiling water and then noodles in there as well. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Two servings of noodles.
Two soup base sachets.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added fried chashu, fried kamaboko, spring onion, mung bean sprouts. Noodles were nice and chewy – thick too. The broth was indeed a light bonito, however not bland by any stretch of the imagination. Sumptuous. 4.5 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 011152644936.
