Well, I’ve come to the end of the fresh varieties from Myojo USA which is a bummer because they’ve all been quite good. This one is kind of like a seafood tonkotsu and I’m really curious how it will be. Let’s give it a go!
Myojo Nagasaki Champon Creamy Tonkotsu – United States
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains lard. To prepare, boil 4 cups water and add noodles – cook 3 minutes. Boil 1 1/4 cups water separately. In a frying pan, add 2 tbsp oil and vegetables and meat. Cook until done, then add salt and black pepper, and then the 1 1/4 cups boiling water and soup base. Cook that a little. Drain noodles and put in a bowl. Finally, add frying pan mixture and enjoy!
Two servings of noodles.
Two sachets of soup base.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added marinated egg, kamaboko, narutomaki, carved squid, chashu, sesame seed, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, black pepper, shichimi, and spring onion. Noodles are nice and soft with a great quantity. The broth has a kind of chowderlike consistency with a creamy seafood taste – milky and comfort food indulgent. Just a wonderful bowl. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 011152674131.
