This is a special one I’m posting today – it’s the subject of a short film I’m doing as I type this about how I review! I want to thank a fellow instant noodle enthusiast named Andres who was kind enough to donate this to me yesterday – he’s a local who has visited a lot of places in search of instant noodle varieties! This one was found up in Canada.
Laksa – especially curry laksa – is a favorite of mine. I’m very curious to see how this one tastes! Let’s find out.
A1 Mi Kari Laksa Curry Laksa Noodle – Malaysia
A distributor/import sticker (click to enlarge).
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains crustaceans. To prepare, boil noodles in 400ml water for 3 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block – in it’s own individual packaging.
A paste sachet.
A dry powder base sachet.
A small sachet of chili powder.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added Dodo fish ball, mung bean sprouts, sesame seed, soft egg, Lao Gan Ma spicy chili crisp, coriander, and fried garlic. Noodle was a standard gauge instant but had a very nice way of cradling the broth. Other than that, it was just your standard noodle. The broth was great – excellent spiciness to it and the flavor was heavy on cumin. It was thick and creamy, but not coconut creamy so much – at least not aromatically. Nevertheless, this was top notch Malaysian stuff and quite good. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 9556593144900.
