This is the third of three immi varieties I received from the company – thanks! They use pumpkin flour to make these noodles and thus far, I’ve had mixed results on the noodles’ consistency and chew. The first one I disliked a lot, however the second I liked quite a bit. Let’s check out this third and final iteration.
immi Tom Yum “Shrimp” Flavor Ramen Soup – United States
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodles in 2 cups water for 7 minutes. Drain, saving 1 cup water. Add noodles, water, and sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Orange noodles!
A sachet of soup base.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added La-Yu chili oil, crushed red pepper, spring onion, and sesame seed. The noodles are again very chewy and I’m not sure if the first time I tried them they were much different – I didn’t like them then, but they’ve grown on me slightly. The broth has a tom yum flavor, however it’s slightly lighter than I would like. All in all, it’s interesting. 2.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 850016318060.
