This is a popular brand in Japan – I believe it was the initial cup variety from Sapporo Ichiban, this CupStar range. Shrimp tensoba should be pretty good – let’s check it out!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added marinated egg, chashu, spring onion, shichimi, and sesame seed. The noodles were alright not especially wonderful. The broth had a nice tension and rich shrimp taste with a bit of sweetness. Where this entered the dark zone was the shrimp themselves; they were shell on. I love shrimp, but shrimp shells – that’s a little much and I’m still picking them out of my teeth. 1.0 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4901734043652.
