Here’s another sent by James from Lakeside, CA – thanks again! This one I haven’t tried – I’ve tried the same flavor but in their restaurant style straight noodle version. Let’s give the bowl version a try.
Menraku Japanese Ramen “Shoyu Tonkotsu” Taste – United States
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add in powder base sachet and fill to line with boiling water. Cover for 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.
A large sachet of dry powder base.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added narutomaki, chashu, soft egg, spring onion, mung bean sprouts, sesame seed, and shichimi. Noodles came out a little better than usual, but I still think 4 minutes on these would be better. The broth was very strange; I don’t understand how a shoyu tonkotsu could taste so funky. Disappointment. 1.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 4902663018025.
