Here’s another one I found at Asian Family Market in 99 in Shoreline. We got so many that day. Wow. Still a ton to do! Let’s check it out!
Shoo Loong Kan Hot Pot Vermicelli Hot and Sour Rice Noodles – China
A distributor’s sticker (click to enlarge).
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodles for 3~5 minutes. Drain, saving 200~300ml water. combine with sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle pouch.
A sachet of bean sprouts.
Guessing this is the sour and spicy element.
Another liquid sachet – maybe the sour of the black vinegar?
Finished (click to enlarge). Added scallions, Fresno pepper slices, and sesame seed. Noodles weren’t half bad – thick and wide with a floppy character. The broth however was a little out for me. Just so reliant on Sichuan peppercorn and a little tinge from the black vinegar just left it too monotone. Wish I could enjoy this. 2.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 6971013103047.
