So I saw these at a local Asian market and was curious, but didn’t want to buy a multipack, so receiving this was really great. Taiwanese dry noodles. Let’s check ’em out!
Bull Head Dry Noodle Spicy Sichuan Pepper Flavor – Taiwan
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle for 6~7 minutes. Drain. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
An individual package.
The dry noodle block.
A sauce sachet.
A Sichuan peppercorn oil sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added Lao Gan Ma spicy chilli crisp, scallion, sesame seed, soft egg, and soft boiled egg. The noodle is exemplary – very good Taiwanese dry noodle with a nice backbone and textured mouthfeel. The flavor was different – so many of these are all the same. It’s a combination of Sichuan peppercorn infused oil and a soy however there’s a sweetness in there which was different from most others. Interesting. 4.25 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 4711258090045.
