Kitakata Curry – try saying that ten times fast! This is going to be an interesting review as I’m trying something new today. I got a new phone and going to attempt to use my old phone to record Instant Noodle Recipe Time using the new phone as a monitor – this should prove interesting! Hoping to get out early to go walking today, but it’s February 23rd and sunny and a chilly 20 degrees, so that’s out currently. Hopefully it will warm up a little. Anyways, on with the review! CIt’s curry time!
Igarashi Seimen Kitakata Curry Flavor Ramen – Japan
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle in 500ml water for 5 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A wet sachet of curry soup base.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added chashu, sesame seed, egg, narutomaki, and spring onion. The noodles in this are just perfect – soft with a nice gauge to them. The broth is a really great curry – not too salty, not too sweet. I get a lot of cumin notes. This is probably one of the finest Japanese curry noodles this reviewer has experienced. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4967448175515.
